The pupils of Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh Cailíni are involved in the 'Project Spraoi' programme.

Project Spraoi is in existence in schools since 2013. It is co-ordinated by a team of researchers from Cork Institute of Technology and works in partnership with a very successful Project Energize from New Zealand.

It is a primary school health promotion intervention which aims to increase physical activity, improve dietary intake and positively influencethe overall health of Irish children.

Qualified staff called Energizers work with the school staff to deliver
Project Spraoi. Key elements of the project include the delivery of regular
huff and puff activity sessions and lessons on the promotion of healthy
eating.
