Summary of Findings of W.S.E.
The strengths of Scoil Náisúnta an Spioraid Naoimh, Cailíní, are many. In the first place, the school is a lively and friendly community where pupils achieve very high standards. The quality of teaching is excellent. The principal, board of management, staff and parents work closely together to achieve their stated aim in the school's mission statement: "... to promote the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the pupils so that she is enabled to reach her full potential ..."
The staff constantly look for ways to improve the quality of their teaching, they are enthusiastic imaginative and make challenging demands of pupils. There are very good arrangements in place to support all pupils and care for them, and the school has a strong partnership with parents and carers.
The school is well managed and self-critical. The school provides a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum in which all subjects are well established, with effective schemes of work and useful assessment reports. Pupils are positive about what the school has to offer and take a full part in the school's activities. They are keen to do well and respond to challenges in learning with confidence, optimism and responsibility. Teachers know individual pupils very well, and are fully aware of their physical emotional, and intellectual needs. They respond to them in a positive and developmental way.
